Soft Washing

Soft washing is the use of water-based, biodegradable chemicals to break down dirt and grime, remove bug nests and webs, kill mold, mildew, algae and bacteria – leaving the surface clean and sanitized.

Soft washing consumes only one-third of the water that pressure or power washing does, lasts 4 - 6 times longer, and does not erode or damage the surface like power washing often can. Soft washing also does so much more than pressure washing because it does more than just clean your roof. The products utilized in the SoftWash System don't simply clean; they penetrate, sanitize, and get rid of the root of the problem.

Treating your roof with soft washing is more like insect control – the combination of safe, biodegradable chemicals ensure that the microorganisms that create buildup are not just partially swept away, but eliminated completely.

Roof Cleaning and Beyond

Soft washing can be carried out on a plethora of surfaces where algae and bacteria grow. The same bacterium that creates black streaks on roofs can likewise grow on:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Tile
  • Wood
  • Vinyl Siding
  • Aluminum
  • And more…

If you're looking for a way eliminate what's growing on the surface of your roof, deck or fence, break the cycle of irritating power washing and use a solution that can get rid of the problem 100%.

Environmentally Friendly, Biodegradable Chemicals in SoftWash

Oftentimes, people are afraid of the word "chemicals," but it's actually not such a dirty word. Everything is a chemical, even water (hydrogen dioxide).

The chemicals used in soft washing help break down pollutants and infestations, so they can be quickly rinsed away. They do all the work without all the pressure. Our chemicals are water based, ship non-hazardous, and are biodegradable, meaning they break down into carbon and water within twenty (20) days after their introduction into the environment; leaving no contaminants behind.

4 Biggest Reasons to Soft Wash

There are plenty of reasons to select soft washing over pressure or power washing, but here are our biggest reasons:

  1. Alternative to power washing
Pressure washing creates erosion and strips away materials that might have been loosened by decomposition or aging. It may be appropriate for some projects and not others.

  2. It actually treats the infestation
Your home isn't only dirty – it's infected. Typical power washing simply gets rid of the outer layer of this biomass and doesn't fix the root of the problem, leaving your surface vulnerable again not long after power washing is finished.

  3. No damage from pressure
Inadequately trained or unskilled pressure washers can cause severe damage to a roof or other surfaces, particularly if it's older to start with.

  4. More eco-friendly cleaning option
Power washers utilize from 3 to 8 gallons of water per minute (gpm). In one hour of cleaning a power washer can use from 180 gallons upwards to 480 gallons of water. On the other hand, soft washing just uses approximately 60 gallons of cleaning solution, which is comprised of about 40 gallons of water.

The cleaning solution is so effective that it lasts 4 – 6 times longer than power washing, making it more sustainable for the environment and your wallet.
